The title ‘It Ain’t Over Til It’s Over’ reminds me of one of my fave love songs sung by a great rock singing artist, Lenny Kravitz. The song sings about the struggles, tears, pains, sacrifices that take place in order to keep love alive between two individuals.
This is similar to our relationship with God. In our life, we may have gone ashray, or disappointed Him in anyway, cheated on Him by having another god beside Him, rebelled against Him and many other possible things that displease Him. We may have done those either on purpose or by accident breaking away our intimate relationship with God. We may not realise how many times we have hurt and disappointed God but we should be happy and thankful knowing that despite all of that God still loves us and has not given up on us. As a matter of fact He is still waiting on us to return to Him and is ready to shower His love upon us even much more.
John 3:16 says “”For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (NIV)
All we need to do is confess, repent and ask for forgiveness of our sings, open our heart and accept Jesus – the son of God – in our heart as our Lord and Saviour. He does not care about how many times we fall, how terrible our life was, He is actually saying to us ‘It ain’t over til it’s over’, still cares and wants us back. He is waiting for us with open arms.
