Hypocrisy happens everywhere – not just in the secular world but also in the religious (Christian) world. hypocrisy is one of the things that Jesus Christ despises. He showed it when He was doing His ministry on this earth years ago. Often time He rebuked hypocrisy performed by many high religious leaders in his time and referred the religious leaders as hypocrites!
Like it or not we all can easily fall into hypocrisy so we need to learn to be on our guard to avoid that trap.
The following is a collection of Bible Verses, which are taken from New King James Version, about hypocrisy. The Bible verses can be used as reference for our learning. Please note that they are taken from their original context. For better understanding of each verse you may need to read the whole chapter respectively.
- Job 15:34
For the company of hypocrites will be barren, And fire will consume the tents of bribery.
- Job 17:8
Upright men are astonished at this, And the innocent stirs himself up against the hypocrite.
